Major tourist attraction

At the far end of the Romsdal Coast in Hustadvika lies the authentic fishing village of Bud. Here you will find charming rudder bows and boathouses in the old harbor and winding streets between old houses that all have a story to tell about a tough life on the coast.

The best way to explore Bud is by walking. Take time to stroll around and experience the coastal culture Bud has to offer and spend the night in the sea gap. In the middle of Bud is a bird mountain which, during the breeding season, houses a colony of crutches and which is a favorite photo motif. The fishing village has a rich history, and in the 16th century Bud was one of the largest trading places between Bergen and Trondheim.
